Bring to a boil
2 cups sugar
2 cups cider vinegar
2 cups water
Clean, seed and cut into half lengthwise the banana peppers. Pack into hot sterilized canning jars. Add to each jar the following:
1 clove garlic OR 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons vegetalbe oil
1 teaspoon salt
Pour the boiling liquid over the peppers to cover. Wipe off the rim and put a hot sterilized lid ont top. Seal tightly.
Jean said not to hot water bath. The hot jars and the boiling liquid will seal the jars.
