Oh, could Gloyd cook and can! I sure do miss his wisdom and humor- in the kitchen and out! When he told you something wasn't hot with nary a hint of a smile, you better look at his eyes. His eyes would twinkle and shine. The you knew not to believe this story for a minute.
If you like hot, spicy things this is the recipe for you.
42 Hot Peppers
1 Pint Yellow Mustard
1 Quart Vinegar
6 Cups Sugar
1 Tablespoon Salt
1 Cup Flour
1 1/2 Cups Water
Grind hot peppers and put into large pot, add mustard, vinegar, sugar, and salt and bring to boil.
In a separate bowl, make a paste out of the flour and water, and add to boiling mixture and cook for five minutes.
Pour into pint jars and seal, makes 7 pints.
