Mom Faunce's Butterscotch Cookies

I'm not a butterscotch fan but I do like these cookies. Letting them stand overnight makes all the difference in marrying and mellowing the butterscotch flavor.

Yeah! My scanner is finally fixed. Scanning my recipes I've found ones I thought I'd lost, ones from family and friends in their own handwriting, ones from my childhood and youth in my handwriting (which was soooooo much nicer then), and some of my favorites. Enjoy. The messier the recipe card the better the recipe!
