Mom Faunce's Soft Drop Ginger Cookies

I like the ginger cookies but frost them with a cinnamon or vanilla frosting. I don't care for the lemon and ginger together. In this slightly spiced cookies the lemon frosting overpowers the ginger in the cookie.

Yeah! My scanner is finally fixed. Scanning my recipes I've found ones I thought I'd lost, ones from family and friends in their own handwriting, ones from my childhood and youth in my handwriting (which was soooooo much nicer then), and some of my favorites. Enjoy. The messier the recipe card the better the recipe!
