LaVerne Heseman’s Rhubarb Cake

½ cups brown sugar
½ cup butter or shortening
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 cup flour
1 teas baking soda
1 teas vanilla

Topping:
1/3 cup white sugar
½ cup coconut
½ teas cinnamon

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Time: 45 minutes

Prepare pan 13 X 9 baking dish by spraying with cooking spray. Preheat oven.

Cream butter or shortening and brown sugar’ add egg. Stir in milk, vanilla and soda mixing well. Add rhubarb.

Pour into prepared baking dish. Combine topping mixture and sprinkle over batter. Bake.
